Matching with Regular Constraints

چکیده
We describe a matching algorithm for terms built over flexible arity function symbols and context, function, sequence, and individual variables. Context and sequence variables allow matching to move in term trees to arbitrary depth and breadth, respectively. The values of variables can be constrained by regular expressions which are not necessarily linear. We prove soundness, termination, and completeness of the algorithm, describe heuristics for optimization, and discuss applications.

Optimizing Disparity Candidates Space in Dense Stereo Matching
In this paper, a new approach for optimizing disparity candidates space is proposed for the solution of dense stereo matching problem. The main objectives of this approachare the reduction of average number of disparity candidates per pixel with low computational cost and high assurance of retaining the correct answer. These can be realized due to the effective use of multiple radial windows, i...
متن کاملRelationship between Coefficients of Characteristic Polynomial and Matching Polynomial of Regular Graphs and its Applications
ABSTRACT. Suppose G is a graph, A(G) its adjacency matrix and f(G, x)=x^n+a_(n-1)x^(n-1)+... is the characteristic polynomial of G. The matching polynomial of G is defined as M(G, x) = x^n-m(G,1)x^(n-2) + ... where m(G,k) is the number of k-matchings in G. In this paper, we determine the relationship between 2k-th coefficient of characteristic polynomial, a_(2k), and k-th coefficient of matchin...
متن کاملMatching Integral Graphs of Small Order
In this paper, we study matching integral graphs of small order. A graph is called matching integral if the zeros of its matching polynomial are all integers. Matching integral graphs were first studied by Akbari, Khalashi, etc. They characterized all traceable graphs which are matching integral. They studied matching integral regular graphs. Furthermore, it has been shown that there is no matc...
متن کاملRegular expression order-sorted unification and matching
We extend order-sorted unification by permitting regular expression sorts for variables and in the domains of function symbols. The obtained signature corresponds to a finite bottom-up unranked tree automaton. We prove that regular expression order-sorted (REOS) unification is of type infinitary and decidable. The unification problem presented by us generalizes some known problems, such as, e.g...
متن کاملContainment of Regular Path Queries under Description Logic Constraints
Query containment has been studied extensively in KR and databases, for different kinds of query languages and domain constraints. We address the longstanding open problem of containment under expressive description logic (DL) constraints for two-way regular path queries (2RPQs) and their conjunctions, which generalize conjunctive queries with the ability to express regular navigation. We show ...
